Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis retell how Hal Jordan got his ring, and how he was trained by the greatest Green Lantern of all, Sinestro. Along the way they introduce Atrocitus and a young William Hand, and plant the seeds for the Red Lanterns and Blackest Night.
It was written after Rebirth and reads well on its own, which makes it a popular first Green Lantern book.
