Sodam Yat is a Green Lantern from the planet Daxam who served as the protector of Sector 1760. Despite his father’s disapproval, he joined the Green Lantern Corps and eventually became the host of Ion, the embodiment of willpower, granting him extraordinary power. Long before his birth, a prophecy foretold that he would become the greatest Green Lantern, yet ultimately fall during the Corps’ destruction. When the Sinestro Corps invaded Daxam, Sodam entered the planet’s sun and transformed it into a yellow star, temporarily granting his people superhuman abilities to defend their world.
