Abin Sur

Abin Sur was a respected Green Lantern of the Green Lantern Corps who patrolled his assigned sector of space. After being attacked and crash-landing on Earth, he used his dying breath to pass his power ring to Hal Jordan, making him the first human inducted into the Green Lantern Corps. Though his life ended on Earth, Abin Sur’s sacrifice ensured the legacy of the Green Lantern would continue. He now resides in Emerald Space, the afterlife for Green Lanterns who gave their lives in service to the Corps.
