Major Force

Clifford Zmeck, better known as Major Force, was the second test subject of the Captain Atom Project, a government experiment that granted him extraordinary powers. Already a violent criminal, Zmeck emerged from the project an even more dangerous and sadistic individual, frequently serving clandestine government operations. He became a personal nemesis of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner after murdering Kyle’s girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, in one of the hero’s most devastating personal tragedies. Their rivalry continued through further psychological torment and brutal confrontations, culminating in Kyle decapitating Major Force and sealing his still-living head inside a sphere of Green Lantern energy before launching it into space.
